N.I.T. is a research in­sti­tu­tion for tourism issues and related subject areas. On the basis of basic research, we also develop tourism strategies within consultancy projects.

The Reiseanalyse RA 2010, undertaken by the Forschungsgemeinschaft Urlaub und Reisen e.V. (FUR), is a representative survey of the holiday travel behaviours of Germans, their travel related attitudes, motivations and interests. The survey describes and analyses holiday trips of 5 days and more as well as short trips of 2-4 days. The long-term consistent standard question programme is supplemented by questions packages (modules) concerning special topics and current issues which change every year. Within the Reiseanalyse RA 2010 there are three modules:

• Health-oriented holiday types:
  Structures, potentials and customer requirements
• Short breaks and city short breaks
• Web 2.0 and online information search for holiday trips  

Furthermore, exclusive questions for the sole use of each client can be added to the questionnaire.
