NIT is a research institution for tourism issues and related subject areas. On the basis of basic research, we also develop tourism strategies within consultancy projects.

We create and deliver knowledge and help to find promising paths for future tourism development.
The NIT has contributed data and findings from the 2018 Reiseanalyse on German outbound tourism to Asia and the interest of Germans’ in travelling to China to the publication UNWTO/GTERC Asia Tourism Trends - 2018 Edition.
