Re:Coast – Enhancing the resilience of coastal tourism in the South Baltic area

The project aims to make coastal destinations and in particular marinas in the South Baltic region more resilient and sustainable in the face of geopolitical, climate-related, and ecological challenges. A Coastal Destination Resilience Knowledge Hub will be established to provide seminars, expertise, and support services. Joint communication and marketing activities will encourage boaters to visit destinations in the South Baltic region. Pilot projects will be used to develop transferable models for resilient coastal tourism and harbour adaptation. Overall, the project will enhance stakeholder cooperation and support sustainable tourism development across the South Baltic area. The NIT is supporting the project by drawing on its expertise in the field of climate change adaptation and sustainability in tourism, and by designing and conducting surveys of various target groups.
