Tackling Climate Change – Adaptation Strategies for Tourism in Lower Saxony

Under the leadership of TourismusMarketing Niedersachsen (TMN) and in close cooperation with the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economic Affairs, since the beginning of last year, work has been carried out together with the travel regions to identify where climate change will particularly affect the industry and what solutions can already be implemented to counteract the consequences in order to successfully and sustainably adapt the destinations to the consequences of climate change. Climate change and climate adaptation for tourism

On the occasion of the recently completed final report, the Umweltbundesamt, together with the Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz und nukleare Sicherheit, published a press release highlighting the importance of the study "Folgen des Klimawandels für den Tourismus" (Consequences of Climate Change for Tourism).
